New twine owner. Nifty gadget. Any idea of a water temperature sensor that would work with the breakout board? Intended use is to monitor a hot tub at a remote cabin at elevation to make sure water temperature stays above a certain level. If heater/electricity cuts out unexpectedly and temp drops below a threshold, email warns me and I can take action before I have a giant block of ice. Thanks in advance!

Just a funny little suggestion that takes advantage of the orientation sensor. My wife and I take turns doing dishes but always seem to forget who did them last. It's an expensive solution, but I could easily see the Twine being sandwiched between two plates, one with my name on top... one with my wife's name on bottom. When I do the dishes, I flip the Twine so her name is visible and a text message is sent to her "Your Turn!" -- when she does the dishes, she flips the Twine so my name is visible and I get the text message. Again, a pricey solution but definitely a good example of how the Twine orientation sensor could be used for tracking purposes.

I'd like to do that but I don't want to penetrate my door with a screw. Anyone have success attaching with something non-penetrating that is strong but doesn't impair the surface/finish of where its attached?

Here's a couple:
- Detect when the garage door is closed.
- Detect when the oven door has been opened.
- Send a different email message with your status assigned to each side. Right before you leave work, flip Twine on its side to let your significant other you're on your way home.
- Use to turn rules on/off from Twine itself; only send an email reporting a temperature change when Twine is on its right side.

Any others?

Right now it alerts me if the temperature of the bucket goes above or below a certain temp. What I would like to add is a rule that sends the actual temp so I can set up IFTTT to save it to a google spreadsheet. I might be missing something, but it appears that only when the data equals a certain value can it do something, not on a timer (like every 5 minutes). Is that true?
